From early December to early January, Nijmegen transforms into a winter wonderland with the start of the Nijmegen Winter Weeks. This festive event offers a perfect opportunity to experience the cozy atmosphere of the city. Enjoy a brilliantly lit city center, cozy Christmas markets and a wide choice of cultural and recreational activities.
During the Nijmegen Winter Weeks, you can walk the impressive light sculpture route, participate in an interactive quiz and enjoy street theater. For a special experience, you can participate in the New Year dive in a Roman bathhouse. There will also be music bingo, beer tastings and performances by wonderful choirs. All these activities can be found in the atmospheric downtown area.
